Affordable Driver Training

At NT Driving Academy, we provide a range of driver training programs and lessons in Darwin, Palmerston and Casuarina. These include DriveSafe NT, general driver training, automatic to manual conversion and training for overseas licence holders.

DriveSafe NT Training 

At NT Driving Academy in Darwin, we accept DriveSafe NT vouchers, which will only leave students $35 out of pocket per lesson. This course covers all competencies of driving and prepares students looking to take the VORT (vehicle on road test) with an MVR-approved licence examiner.


Costs:

1 hr lesson with voucher $30

Non-voucher 1 hr lesson $80

Car hire for driving test $80

General Driver Training

We provide general diver training in both manual and automatic vehicles. Whether you need more time on the road or want to work on specific areas of your driving, this is the course for you. You can now go for your test in your own car or one of ours. If you are using your own car, it must be roadworthy, reasonably clean inside and have a suitable seat and seatbelt for the instructor or examiner. 


Costs:

1 hr lesson $80

2 hr lesson $160

Automatic to Manual Conversion

This course is available for drivers who hold an automatic licence and are looking to gain manual qualification. We’ll provide all the necessary training to ensure you pass your manual licence test with ease.

Overseas Licence Holder

If you're a driver who has transferred your overseas licence to an NT licence with an "X condition,” we can help get the condition removed so that you can drive without needing another person in the car. All you need to do is take a test with an MVR authorised Class "C" licence examiner. We provide training in both automatic and manual cars.
